Hey folks,Howdy,I live in Mountain Missouri, I ride a Sunny Roadrunner 300 rev trike and my wife has a 49cc Tank scooter and I've just gotten back into riding scooters and I've am getting my dearest wife starting to love it also and we are looking forward to being a part of the rally. There is one important question that is just worrying me silly about the Rally though. In Mo. we don't have to register, tag, or insure a scooter that is 49cc, so if my wife bring her 49cc Tank scooter will she be allowed to ride it along with the other scooters on the rides without getting pulled over by the police and possibly getting ticketed or worse?? I really need to know about this before WE register for the Rally or make reservations for it. Thank you daddue11 Steve.

It would be my opinion that whether or not Arkansas required you to carry insurance our rally does require it. I'm sure if you talk to your car insurance agent he can set you up with some sort of policy on a temporary basis. Me personally, I'd carry at the minimum a liability policy just to cover myself in the rare instance that I might cause an accident and get sued.

Very good Idea and thanks for the info. I agree with you and the rule about having insurance,I've got full coverage on the Roadrunner trike, but,my Statefarm agent told me that the under writer turned me down for the 50 cc since it wasn't registered with the state. I'll look around and see if anyone else will insure it. Would you happen to know about the lack of lisence plate or tags or inspection stickers. thanks for the reply

progressive is who I have my 50cc insured with.. I don't have mine registered, and insurance, for liability with road side assistance is around 95 bucks a year.. Well worth it in my opinion..

Here in Eureka the local police have been pulling over 50cc scooterists and checking for license and insurance. I can't confirm if they are looking for a motorcycle endorsement or not. Just a word to the wise.

They shouldn't be checking for motorcycle license on 50cc's.. Arkansas doesnt require them... Unless your under 16, then u require a special motorcycle endorsement, or motorized bicycle license.. Hope this helps..

They shouldn't and they do. The problem here is that too many people that had/have DUI's are now riding small scooters. Their still drunk doing it. Hence the checks.
